Growl.

One thing I've yet to get used to: people offering unsolicited advice regarding my pregnancy, and trying to make me feel guilty for what I am or am not doing.

I have a cat. I will do her litter. With my years of dealing with my stray, adopted cats, I am pretty sure that I have already had toxoplasmosis, and already dealt with it. When I go to the doctor, the REAL doctor, and not the clinic, then I can get tested. Until that, I cannot afford to just go and say "test me for toxoplasmosis", because I will also have to pay for all my other tests. I cannot do that. This is why I am applying for Medicaid, because my insurance will not pay for maternity related coverage.

I have done research for my pregnancy, and I know what I am doing. I will ask if I want your input, and there are very few who I would accept unsolicited advice, being my mother, my father, and my doctor. Beyond that, there is more chance of me putting my back up and digging my heels in than in accepting your advice.

First for baby

Baby's first "swim" even though he/she isn't born yet!  Went in the ocean here in Florida (here in a friend's wedding) and then in a pool... been a while since I've been swimming.  However, I don't want funny tan lines, nor a sunburn, so I didn't stay out for long.

Anywho, I'm gonna go take a shower and rinse these glasses off, so I'll update this again sometime!  :) :) :)

Sigh.

I absolutely did not like the mac and cheese I attempted to consume.  Gah it was nasty.  I hope this is just a pregnancy-related food aversion, because I did not want any of it.  I tried to eat as much as I could.  Now, I need to get laundry started, get in the shower, and such, because man-oh-man I prefer to leave my current employment on my own terms.  Which either way I do not wish to continue.  But must.  Until another one comes up.  Meh.  Yeah, I need to go.  And eat something yummy.  And take those darn vitamins.

Just for giggles

This isn't 100% accurate yet, as I'll get the more precise due date at my first ultrasound in a month.

Home sweet home!

I told Will when I got home that I was happy to smell our house's scent.  He looked at me weird.  He thinks it reeks.  I love it.  It's home.  My mom's house has that smell, Dad & Brenda's house does too, Will's parents' house has a smell I don't particularly care for (in my head, it's ladybugs and occasionally mothballs if you go into the right room).  Okay, so it's different smells, but they all have that scent of the chemicals (not bad) that they bring in.  Mom's is a bit of her cigarettes (I swear I don't smell that while I'm there) along with her laundry.  Dad's is the lake and their laundry, and whatever Brenda puts around for yummy smelly stuff.  I already told you MIL's house.

Speaking of smells, my wrist is getting wet from Maddy nearly ingesting my skin for all the smells on it that aren't me.  Yes, there's kitty.  Yes, there's doggy.  Yes, there's Justin's room, and Brenda, and Dad, and Lynn, and Walmart in Farmville, and Lake James, and David's Bridal in Virginia Beach (though it's actually in Norfolk, just on VA Beach Blvd).

All that rambling to say:

I'm tired.  I'm sore.  Baby's been making room.  I have a discernible baby bump, even though I'm only about 6 weeks along.  On the four hour drive home, I had to take three breaks.  And that four hour drive is more like 3 and a half.  Meh.  But hey, I have new music.  It's still in the car, though.  I didn't feel like dealing with it inside.  Anywho, I'm definitely going to bed now, after I pee, again.  Oh, and so far, the only thing(s) I've been craving intensely (dang it, here it goes again) are orange juice and egg salad.  I don't think I could consume them at the same time, but I REALLY craved egg salad on the way home.  And every time I get thirsty, OJ sounds pretty good.  We'll see if that's just a "I'm short on nutrients found in these" or if it's a pickles-and-ice cream thing.  So, goodnight.  Adieu.  Sleep well.  I hope I do.

Loooong drive leaves me tired and sore

If a four-hour non-stop drive was bad... what's a 9-12 hour drive going to do to me??  All baby was doing the whole time was stretching me to make room, and golly goodness gracious did it get uncomfortable!  My back still hurts!  My stepmom Brenda was super-excited about it (I mean it - she was squealing and all, too) though my dad wasn't as excited.  I'm sure the "they're not quite financially ready" thought went through his mind.  My mom's thoughts are pretty similar, along with" is their marital bond strong enough?"  We'll make it though.  Yeah, we have to work harder, but we'll also never be ready, per se, for having a baby, so we figured we'd go ahead now instead of waiting until we should have jobs and don't.

I'm also currently set up in my stepbrother Justin's room, with one of his fish tanks, since I don't need the futon (Will isn't here with me) and Justin's staying at his dad's for a while.  Some drama there I'm not fully aware of, so no sharing.  Today, I'm feeling larger, but still not too pregnant other than this incessant stretching!  Gosh, baby, don't give me stretch marks yet!  I want to be showing, at least!  I might have to get a different ........

I got distracted and now I don't know what on earth I was talking about.  I know a few different things for which I need updates.  Hum.  I think I'm going to bed.  I'm tired, and even though it's 9:30, I'm TIRED.

Really quick because I have to go....

I have an interview at DMV in two hours, but wanted to put up a new post.  My baby bump is getting bigger!  I thought I took after my mom for most of my genes but apparently this one is from my Dad's side of the family.  I'm only about six weeks along, and am showing.  Huh.

Also, along the "never felt that before" theme, this baby is really starting to screw with my insides, as far as bathroom visits go.  I haven't reached the point yet where I want to pee every 10 minutes yet, but it's messing with the other tract.  This is TMI, but oh well.  For the first few days, I didn't go at all.  You know what I mean... GO.  The kind of go where you keep books in the bathroom for.  Well, I never needed a book, but that's a different story.  Anywho, I went from ah... super slush right before to nothing for several days, then now I'm to every 8 hours.  Golly.  I'm not sure what's going on, but it is my first time, after all.

Surprise trip out to my Dad's house in Virginia Beach to tell him, though he thinks it's just for David's Bridal.  I wonder if he suspects anything.  Hehh... Anywho, GO is calling, and I need to hop in the shower (or just step) so I'll update this later.

Baby and Me signing off :)
